Anyone who’s old enough to remember the days when orchestral mock-ups required a bank of Akai samplers or an incredible amount of patience and a multitracker will recall the infamous Miroslav Vitous Symphonic Orchestra sample library. In its time, Miroslav Vitous was the Holy Grail of orchestral samples – several thousands of pounds’ worth of sample CDs that became the staple of most Hollywood film and TV composers.
