Mobile Studio Canvas is the first product in the new Cakewalk hardware family, developed in conjunction with long-time partner the Roland Corporation. The package includes a Roland SD-50 sound module, a tweaked GM2 (General MIDI) soundset and Roland’s Solo Tones. The SD-50 can also play back audio and MIDI files through USB memory, functions as a two-in, two-out audio interface as well as a 1x1 MIDI interface, and ships with Sonar 8.5 LE recording software for use with Windows-based PCs.
