Sample Logic’s Morphestra is one of a growing number of products directly aimed at the busy media composer, whether they’re producing music for film and TV, game soundtracks or the web. In a similar vein to Spectrasonics Omnisphere and Heavyocity’s Evolve (reviewed in MTM 75 and 69 respectively), Morphestra promises a cutting-edge collection of inspiring sounds (many sourced from an unusual collection of acoustic sound sources) as well as using a variety of synthesis and sound-design techniques to warp these original samples far beyond their original forms.
