Yamaha Motif-Rack XS
Almost 12 months after the original Motif XS7 appeared, Yamaha has finally released the rack-based Motif-Rack XS. Mark Cousins finds out if it was worth the wait.
Price: £1,080.00
Manufacturer: Yamaha

Yamaha’s Motif series has been growing for several years now, offering both a range of keyboard-based products (such as the Motif XS7, reviewed in Issue 52) as well as a corresponding rack version for those on a tighter budget and/or with limited studio space. The Motif-Rack XS, therefore, is the racked-up version of the aforementioned Motif XS7, benefiting from many of the improvements offered in the XS series but with a number of modifications and tweaks that befit its diminutive stature.
Score: 7
