When it comes to reverbs, few companies can lay claim to having the same reputation as Lexicon. Units such as the 480L and PCM91 have become a standard fixture in the majority of professional studios around the world, and even in these days of convolution-based plug-ins, few reverbs deliver the same classy, spacious results as a Lexicon in full swing. Of course, top-of-the-range professional models such as the 480L have never been cheap, but Lexicon has produced a series of competitively priced reverb units over the years – from the Alex, back in the early 90s, through to the MX200, released only last year.
