Hartmann Neuron VS
Hartmann brings its neural synthesis from hardware into software form – but the best bits have been left intact. Hollin Jones gets stuck into the Neuron VS.....
Price: £500.00
Manufacturer: Hartmann
Website: http://www.hartmann-music.com
Given the huge number of software-based classic analogue synth emulators available at the moment, it’s sometimes easy to forget that there are companies out there making products that produce sounds we haven’t heard of or thought of before. Relative newcomers Hartmann pooled its collective experience of synth design and came up with the Neuron, a hardware synth that uses neural synthesis to generate very complex waveforms. Well received – but with a rather exclusive price tag – it is now joined by the Neuron VS, a software version of the synth with most of the features – but a lower price.
Score: 8
