When Novation first unveiled its Automap software in the original ReMOTE SL series we were suitably impressed by the ease with which you could take control of your favourite soft synths and effects. Since then Novation has continued to develop the Automap software, adding support for more DAWs and expanding the hardware product line to include the ReMOTE Zero SL and the SL Compact ranges. More recently, Novation unveiled the Automap Universal 2.0 software alongside the new Nocturn controller, which, like the ReMOTE Zero SL, does away with a keyboard, providing simple, hands-on plug-in control.
Score: 9
