When Nuendo was first announced, the general perception was that it was going to be ‘Cubase Pro’, but the reality was very different: version 1 turned out to be less capable than Cubase Lite when it came to MIDI sequencing. The reason for this was Nuendo’s focus on post-production – in particular, surround mixing.
