Arturia Origin
The long wait is finally over, so will Arturia’s hotly anticipated Origin live up to expectations? Hollin Jones finds out.
Price: £1,900.00
Manufacturer: Arturia

To say that Arturia’s Origin has been a long time coming would be something of an understatement. The company’s first stab at a dedicated hardware synth, it has been keenly anticipated by many, especially fans of Arturia’s excellent software re-creations of classic synths such as the Jupiter, ARP and Moog. Serious hardware synthesizers tend to be produced only by bigger companies that have the resources to undertake such demanding projects, so it’s good to see a more independent outfit rise to the challenge. And a challenge it must surely have been, because this is a complex and powerful instrument.
