Given the exponential leaps in the quality of software reverb in recent years, you can be forgiven for thinking that the dedicated hardware reverb has had its day. However, with the unveiling of Bricasti’s excellent M7 last year (reviewed in Issue 63) and the release of this – Lexicon’s PCM96 – it seems that hardware reverbs still have a place in the modern studio.
