One of the simplest yet most useful studio tools you can own is a MIDI controller. Whether it’s for controlling instruments, effects or a sequencer, a MIDI controller provides tactile, hands-on control over the software studio, freeing you from many everyday tasks you would normally perform with a mouse. USB MIDI controllers are now available from a wide variety of hardware manufacturers, including CME, Edirol, M-Audio and Novation. With competition so fierce, manufacturers began to bundle more controls and even basic audio interfaces with their latest models to make them stand out from the crowd.
