Having defined amp emulation for thousands of guitarists with the bean-shaped POD hardware series, Line 6 is now hoping to redefine amp emulation with a software version of the same amp and effects emulation kit. The software version of the POD enables you to add amp and effect emulations to as many of your tracks as you want in a mix, automating changes and changing your mind about what effects you want at any time. This is far more convenient than the hardware models for mixing, as you no longer have to set up complex re-amping routings in your DAW to get the effect, bouncing down every channel in real time. So, if POD Farm can capture the essence of the POD in software format, it should be a hit.
