Well, they’re not going to win any design awards, but these Prodipe Pro8s feel as solid as they look. The cabinets are no-nonsense MDF boxes that are ported along the bottom edge, and the ‘8’ in Pro8 refers to the diameter of the bass driver. In this case it’s a ‘glass aramid composite cone woofer’ with a rubber surround, and it feels very stiff.
