As part of M-Audio’s ongoing drive to revamp its range of recording microphones, the company has upgraded its Pulsar small-capsule condenser mic and created the Pulsar II. This time, however, particular attention has been paid to the cardioid capsule, with the company developing a 3/4-inch, 6-micron Mylar evaporated-gold diaphragm to deliver high sensitivity, especially in the higher frequencies.
