Peavey PV 8
Peavey’s new PV 8 mixer may be as cheap as chips, but it’s packed with features that its price tag belies. Bob Dormon feasts on its functions.
Price: £89.00
Manufacturer: Peavey

If you have a desktop music-production system with only stereo interfacing, then adding a mixer will broaden your setup’s flexibility enormously. Multiple mic and line inputs can be sub-mixed prior to recording, and you don’t need a console that takes up a huge amount of desk space, either. There’s quite a lot of choice out there, and the new Peavey PV 8 provides attractive interfacing options in a mixer no bigger than a large hardback book.
Score: 8
