McDowell Signal Processing – or McDSP for short – is a developer of plug-in effects and instruments for Pro Tools HD, LE and M-Powered systems. Unlike most developers, however, it doesn’t code for other platforms – just Pro Tools on Mac and Windows – and its latest offering is the Retro Pack, a collection of three plug-ins designed to have a ‘vintage’ sound and aiming to provide great results without seeking to emulate any kind of existing hardware.
