Focusrite’s Saffire PRO range has received plenty of praise in recent months, with the Saffire PRO 40 and Liquid Saffire 56 both demonstrating Focusrite’s ability at combining highclass preamps with healthy connectivity and flexible routing/monitoring software. However, with the original desktop Saffire interfaces starting to show their age, it was becoming increasingly apparent that the range needed something considerably smaller and more portable to please an everincreasing number of musicians and producers working on laptops.
