DPA SMK4061
DPA’s new SMK4061 stereo mic kit really can get to those places other mics just can’t reach. Huw Price gets stuck in.
Price: £646.00
Manufacturer: DPA
Website: http://www.dpamicrophones.com

Anyone who’s unfamiliar with DPA (or B&K) microphones is likely to feel a bit nonplussed when they first encounter the SMK4061. This is a stereo microphone kit like no other, comprising two miniature omnidirectional capsules, two curious rubber discs for boundary mic’ing applications, and lots of odd rubber clips with adhesive pads.
Score: 9
