As the choice of which audio/MIDI sequencer you’re going to opt for is becoming ever more closely linked to your favoured operating system, so the battle lines between the major players have become even more entrenched. Indeed, if you fall on the side of the PC you may well be looking to pastures new – Apple announced the end of Logic support for the Windows platform after version 5.5. What better time, then, for Cakewalk to up the ante and throw down the gauntlet with a fresh look to its flagship studio product, Sonar.
