In the world of digital audio workstations, Sonar has a history stretching back almost as far as any other, yet it is often not mentioned in the same breath as some of its competitors – at least not outside its native USA. This is perhaps rather unfair, given that every time we reviewed it we praised its colossal feature set and competitive pricing. It’s also been at the forefront of development in areas such as 64-bit coding and compatibility with the latest versions of Windows.
