IK Multimedia caused quite a stir in the music world when the company unleashed SampleTank. With three sophisticated synth/sampler engines, 32 DSPs and several gigabytes of top-quality samples, it proved unbeatable value for money and soon became a viable alternative to conventional multi-timbral hardware workstations and sound modules.
