Solid State Logic SSL Drumstrip

Has SSL created a one-stop-shop for contemporary drum processing? Mark Cousins investigates Drumstrip...

Price: £235.00
Manufacturer: Solid State Logic
Website: http://www.solid-state-logic.com

Given the open-ended nature of SSL’s Duende, we were intrigued to see what the next development for the system might be. Would SSL stick with the Channel Strip and Bus Compressor plug-ins of the original release, or would future revisions see an expanded set of plug-ins covering a range of mixing-related tasks? Drumstrip, therefore, is the answer to this question – an optional plug-in for the Duende system focusing on a specific mixing application (in this case, drums) rather than copying an existing hardware processor (as is so often the case with plug-ins for the UAD or PowerCore systems).
