Garritan Stradivari Solo Violin

Stradivari Solo Violin puts the sound of one of the most revered instruments in the world into the hands of any musician with a computer and keyboard. Keith Gemmell bows out.

Price: £129.00
Manufacturer: Garritan
Website: http://www.garritan.com

If you’ve ever had to create a convincing solo violin performance using a sample library, you’ll know just what a time-consuming and difficult operation it can be. For a start, before you even play a note, there’s the tedious task of searching for, loading and mapping the numerous articulations. And after tackling the inevitable post-recording DIY, what should be an enjoyable experience can end up a labour-intensive chore.

Score: 10
