Hollywood-based company EastWest/Quantum Leap is highly regarded for its virtual instruments and samples libraries. And in common with many other samples producers, the company licensed NI’s Kontakt engine as a front end for its products. However, that changed when EastWest recently unveiled PLAY, its own 64-bit audio engine.
