Although the history of Applied Research and Technology (ART) goes back to 1984, the company’s heritage goes back much further. ART was founded by several former employees of MXR – so any guitarist who has ever plugged into a Dynacomp, a Phase 90 or the awesome rack-mountable MXR flanger will know where these guys are coming from. Since then, ART has diversified into studio-processing equipment, implification devices and monitoring, while establishing a reputation for affordable valve-loaded equipment.
