If the free version of MicroTERA included on the CD with last month’s issue of MTM caught your attention, then the latest version of VirSyn’s mighty modular synth, TERA, looks set to wow you. Version 1 was reviewed back in June and proved to be a highly versatile – if rather mind-blowing – concoction of all that’s best in sound construction. The new version 2.0, while retaining the flexibility of its predecessor, sees developer Harry Gohs and his team adding an increased level of accessibility that should take some of the fear out of modular synthesis.
