If the glut of exuberant TV chefs currently invading our screens are to be believed, we should all be spending our evenings ensconced in the kitchen cooking up some culinary masterpiece while sampling the odd glass or two of vino. For most of us, three minutes standing in front of the microwave would be the more likely proposition (not forgetting the drink, of course) but that’s not to say that we don’t fully appreciate haute cuisine when it’s presented to us.
