Guitar amp emulation has taken several giant leaps over the last five years thanks to steady improvements in processing power, with more and more plug-ins appearing on the market from leading software developers. And despite being a relatively new company, several of Overloud’s primary developers have had experience pioneering guitar amp emulation technology for nearly ten years. This makes the TH-1 not just a new entry in an already overcrowded market, but an engine in continual development, which explains why Overloud describes it as being the fourth generation of guitar amp emulation.
