Over the years, ART’s portfolio of gear has been rich and varied, but developing microphone preamps has been a constant preoccupation for the company. The TPS II is a 1U rack unit that offers two channels of microphone preamplification. It features hybrid circuitry that utilises a solid-state initial input stage followed by a secondary valve stage. This is a familiar coupling these days, with ART and others such as Behringer, TLAudio and Focusrite producing their own special blend of hybrid gear for a range of budgets.
