If you’re a young musician into home recording, the chances are that you work with a DAW of some kind – you may never have experienced the efficiency of a classic analogue recording console with built-in monitor switching controls and talkback facilities. But if you have and you’re now recording and mixing in a purely computerbased environment, you probably miss the sheer convenience of working the ‘old-fashioned’ way.
