CME UF70 V2
We could all live with fewer cables, but will CME’s UF v2 keyboards get us connected? Hollin Jones goes wireless.
Price: £360.00
Manufacturer: CME

CME’s UF series of MIDI master keyboards impressed us when we first reviewed them some time ago in MTM, but now they have been updated with a number of new features. The UF v2 keyboard controllers come in four sizes, with the largest 88-key model sporting weighted keys. All have an attractive brushed aluminium finish and full-size keys that are responsive to your playing and feature a choice of velocity curves. Around the back there’s a MIDI out port, two assignable pedal inputs and a breath control input, a USB port for transmitting and receiving MIDI from a computer (and also carrying power), a mains power port and a rather flimsy sliding on/off switch. A large area of the rear panel is removable, revealing an expansion port that enables you to add an optional FireWire audio card or a sound module.
Score: 7
