Abrief glance at the spec sheet for Ultra-Curve reveals quite an astounding array of features. It’s a feature set that equips it for two main functions in life. The first is within the drive rack of a live sound system to eliminate feedback and compensate for delays caused by speaker positioning. The second is as a tool for DIY pre-mastering of stereo recordings. Although the Ultra-Curve has an excellent feedback destroyer and digital delay line and is worth considering for PA use, we’re going to focus on its potential as a pre-mastering device.
Score: 7
