When Roland released the V-Synth in 2003, it was something of a revelation. In a marketplace dominated by instruments that emulated vintage kit – and which was also witnessing the inexorable rise of software instruments – it offered a truly futuristic sound. Now the concept has been taken even further with the release of the V-Synth XT, which, as you might expect, retains many of the V-Synth’s best features while adding some new tricks of its own.
