With software such as Guitar Rig or AmpliTube and hardware such as the PODxt providing users with a huge selection of amp and effects emulations (and including new models with each iteration) it is unusual to see Softube following a less-is-more approach. But that is exactly what the company has done with its new Vintage Amp Room plug-in, which is available for PowerCore, HD and Venue systems as well as Native VST and AU hosts. In fact, given that Softube has released Vintage Amp Room for so many hosts, it is perhaps surprising that an RTAS version for Pro Tools LE and M-Powered users is not present in the lineup.
