However much we like to pigeon-hole equipment there are some products which defy easy categorisation – and Vokator is one of those products. You can call it a vocoder (because that’s what it is!) but it’s also much more. It builds on Native Instruments’ spectral technology (the process of breaking down and analysing audio by frequency), that was first seen in the company’s Spektral Delay software.
