Roland has been busy updating some of its classic synths over the last year. The SH-201 and Juno-G proved to be worthy successors to their predecessors, and now the VP-330, released way back in 1979, is to get a similar overhaul. In truth, the new VP-550 is a complete redesign that utilises far more complex technology, but the link with a classic model helps to maintain a sense of continuity.
