As Steinberg’s website proudly points out, WaveLab was one of the first mastering suites available, with a history stretching back to 1995. Since then, it has become a staple of studios and production facilities across the world. In that time, the average musician has also become much more keenly aware of the necessity of mastering music and other audio, and with the advent of digital distribution, even a basic mastering treatment is now mandatory before you send your files off for the world to hear.
