Australian samples library developers Evolution Series has just released a new virtual instrument aimed at discerning film, TV and games producers. Size-wise it’s an absolute monster, comprising 220GB of meticulously sampled percussion (tuned and untuned) from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and South America. With up to seven user controllable microphone positions, multiple velocities with round-robin plus hundreds of MIDI grooves, it’s powered by a brand-new samples player called Engine.
