Making music is a demanding task for a PC, so it pays to get a serious one. Hollin Jones road tests Inta Audio’s new X4R Pro.

Buying an off-the-shelf PC for dedicated music production might be convenient, but this convenience can lead to disappointment further down the line. It’s far better to find a company that builds dedicated machines specifically designed with the rigours of audio work in mind. As well as providing technical support, such companies also tend to fine-tune the operating system and hardware to ensure maximum performance and stability.
