On paper, the SE Electronics Z5600 looks impressive. It features two large diaphragms (mounted back to back), variable polar pattern and a valve pre-amp stage to add warmth and a degree of compression. The specs also promise excellent dynamic range (around 114dB) and maximum SPL figures.
